Terms and Conditions & Return Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your purchase of products from REMWOL (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, as the purchaser or buyer (“you”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
We design and manufacture handcrafted hardware, lighting, and objects for interior projects. We sit between craft and industry.
2. Products
All products are handmade and produced in small-batch quantities. As a result, slight variations in finish, colour, texture, and dimensions may occur and are considered inherent to the process and part of the character of the pieces.
Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided for guidance only and may not perfectly reflect the final item.
3. Orders
An order is considered accepted only once you receive a confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion, including but not limited to:
-
Foundry/sourcing issues
-
Pricing or listing errors
-
Suspected fraudulent activity
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in EUR unless otherwise stated and include/exclude VAT as indicated at checkout.
Payment must be completed in full before production or dispatch begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time; however, confirmed orders will not be affected.
5. Production and Delivery
Our stock is limited and held in small quantities within our studio. Many of our products are made to order.
Smaller orders (typically five pieces or fewer) may be fulfilled from available studio stock where possible. Larger orders, or orders exceeding available stock, will require additional production time due to casting, finishing, and scheduling processes.
Production times are estimates and may vary depending on foundry availability and scheduling.
Delivery times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed.
Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on your geographical location and selected delivery method. It is your responsibility as the purchaser (“you”) to ensure all delivery information provided is accurate and complete. All delivery costs are borne by you unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
Risk passes to you upon delivery.
6. Returns and Right of Withdrawal
Because many of our products are custom-made, made-to-order, or personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) may not apply under applicable EU consumer law.
6.1 Non-Custom Products
For non-custom or ready-made items, or items held as part of our available studio range, returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt provided that:
-
The item is unused and not damaged
-
The item is in its original condition
-
The item is returned in original packaging where possible
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of you (the customer) unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
6.2 Custom or Made-to-Order Products
Custom-made, bespoke, or made-to-order items are non-refundable and non-returnable unless:
-
The item is defective
-
The item significantly differs from the agreed specification
-
A return has been agreed with us in writing in advance
7. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery, including clear photographic evidence.
We will, at our discretion, offer:
-
Repair
-
Replacement
8. Warranty
Our products are made using durable materials such as bronze, brass, and aluminium, selected for their strength and longevity. Each piece is designed for long-term use.
Natural ageing, wear, and patina development are expected characteristics of these materials and are not considered defects but are in fact part of the natural development of the pieces.
We do not provide a formal warranty beyond your statutory rights unless explicitly stated.
9. Care & Maintenance
Our materials are intended to age and evolve over time. Changes in surface tone, colour and patina are part of their natural behaviour. Factors such as their use, air quality and exposure to various natural elements will interact with your pieces and impact how they evolve.
If a more consistent finish is preferred, gentle cleaning with non-abrasive, polishing creams may be used. Avoid harsh polishing or aggressive cleaning methods, as these will alter the natural surface and potentially create scratching.
Care practices are optional and depend on the desired appearance over time.
10. Installation
Responsibility for correct installation of all products lies with you, the purchaser. We strongly recommend that installation is carried out by a qualified professional where appropriate.
All lighting and electrical components must be installed by a certified electrician in accordance with local regulations and safety standards. Improper installation may result in damage, malfunction, or serious injury, and we accept no liability for issues arising from incorrect or non-professional installation.
11. Liability
We are not liable for:
-
Improper installation or use of products
-
Indirect or consequential losses
-
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modification
Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the purchased product.
12. Intellectual Property
All designs, products, drawings, technical specifications, images, text, and other content displayed on this website and associated materials are and shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of REMWOL, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
No part of our work may be used without prior written permission.
This includes, without limitation:
-
Reproduction or imitation of product designs or detailing
-
Commercial exploitation or resale of our designs or derivatives thereof
-
Use of our images or content for commercial or promotional purposes
-
Digital or physical replication, scraping, reverse engineering, or data extraction for training or manufacturing purposes
All rights are reserved worldwide. Any unauthorised use may result in legal action.
13. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant. Personal information is used solely for order processing and customer communication.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Belgian courts.
